TO SHIP A VEHICLE WITH M&M VEHICLE TRANSPORT
Every commercial transaction involves paperwork by the parties involved. These documents support the terms and conditions of the negotiation and are important in case of future claims, warranty requirements, or taxes purposes. In our specific case, we try to keep it simple for our customers as we know how tedious it can be to gather paperwork here and there; besides, technically the vehicle to be shipped will not be driven on the road nor a transfer of ownership will take place; however, there are some basic documents to present or receive when shipping a vehicle:
FROM THE CUSTOMER
Within the Continental USA:
- Photo ID (or could be either your driver´s license or unexpired passport)
- Insurance (supplemental coverage suggested, not required)
Overseas:
- Original title or registration
- Photo ID
- Lienholder authorization if you are leasing of financing (applies only to Hawaii)
- Absent owner authorization (only when the vehicle is going through a port and someone different than the owner is to pick up the vehicle)
- Sales tax proof
- Bill of Sale
FROM M&M VEHICLE TRANSPORT
Within the Continental USA:
- Bill of Lading (A receipt or invoice with a summary of the vehicle´s condition, provided by our truck driver prior to loading the vehicle)
- Insurance terms and conditions
Overseas:
- Dock receipt
- Gate pass
- Delivery Order
- Bill of Lading – BOL
- Insurance

- We always recommend planning ahead, especially when paperwork is involved. For overseas car shipping, we suggest you locate your paperwork well in advance of booking and ensure all the documents are not expired by the time they are required.
